Soviet Secrets, Chronicles of Georgia & Ancient Mtskheta & Jvari
Begin your tour in the heart of Tbilisi with a visit to an authentic underground revolutionary printing house active in the early 20th century. Here, young Joseph Stalin and other revolutionaries secretly printed illegal proclamations, newspapers, and pamphlets, marking a dramatic chapter in political history.
Next, head toward the Tbilisi Sea to explore the monumental memorial complex known as the "Chronicle of Georgia" by Zurab Tsereteli. This grand architectural masterpiece features massive stone pillars and bronze statues depicting scenes from Georgia’s biblical, royal, and centuries-long historical heritage.
Then, travel to the ancient capital region to visit the 6th-century Jvari Monastery. Perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, this UNESCO World Heritage site offers breathtaking panoramic views and a deep sense of early Christian serenity.
Finally, stop in the historic town of Mtskheta, often called the "Holy City" of Georgia. Explore the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (another UNESCO site) where the Robe of Christ is believed to be buried, and take a stroll through the charming, cobblestone streets filled with local crafts and traditional treats.
